Message from PC Vice Chair

Hello Progressives!

It is with great optimism that I announce my candidacy for Vice Chair of the DPW along side Representative David Bowen as Chair and Alicia Lorta as 2nd Vice Chair! We believe our ticket is the future of the Democratic Party!

I am incredibly excited for what this will mean for the Progressive Caucus, David has been an outstanding ally of our caucus and given the opportunity to become the state party’s Chair and Vice Chair we will ensure progressive values will be the mantelpiece of Wisconsin once again!

It is with the best interest of the Progressive Caucus at heart that I have decided to not seek another term as Vice Chair. Instead, I’ll be an enthusiastic member helping in every capacity I am able.

I want to allow space in the leadership for the other members who have been dedicated to promoting the progressive cause within the party. I am encouraging all who are willing to step forward and take the reins! We have only just begun, and the potential is limitless.

It's up to us what history records. Make sure your name is in BOLD!!

Solidarity and Gratitude,
Tammy Joy Wood

The Progressive Caucus exec team, would also like to apologize, and let our caucus members know, that action has been taken, with a letter written to Chula Vista, for turning our members away. We await their reply. We are sincerely, sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Notes from our meeting are now posted here. We heard from Ben Wikler, who is running for DPW Chair and from David Bowen, who has not yet announced, but is expected to do so shortly.

Thank you and apologies

First - we are very sorry that people had trouble finding our meeting room at Chula Vista. We all had trouble - including those of us who set up the meeting. We were promised directional signs and staff able to give appropriate directions. We did not get either. We will not hold future events at this venue. Not only have we had this same trouble two years in a row, the catering costs are astronomical. If this ever happens in the future, please call or email John. His contact info is included in every email about caucus events. (Our next meeting in April will be via conference call).

Now, for those of us who did make it, thank you for attending, thank you for your great questions, thank you for your enthusiasm. We hope you found it interesting and useful.

Also thank you to our guest speakers including DPW chair candidate Ben Wikler, DPW first vice chair Rep. David Bowen, Rural Caucus chair Nate Timm, and environmental activist Ernie Lowe

We'll post notes from the meeting in the next few days.If you have questions or comments, please email cvmaren@mwt.net or alwayssinging3@hotmail.com.
