Whereas: Wisconsin's citizens are due adequate public health, welfare and environment
protections.
Whereas: Wisconsin government ensures energy is generated by operations that are safe for public health, welfare, environment.
Whereas: Wisconsin is jeopardized by the dynamics of climate change.
Whereas: Wisconsin ought to ensure energy is derived according to rational principles of natural and human resource management.
Therefore be it resolved:
DPW endorses, supports candidates for public office who:
1) Would introduce legislation that excludes public reliance on nuclear generators.
2) Would promote legislation restricting public energy generators to those following rational principles of natural and human resources management. (97)
